You will be trekking the real Himalayas and conquering Thorong La Pass, one of the highest passes in the world, and is also the highest point of this trek. We will be starting very early in the morning as we have to be crossing the pass as soon as possible to avoid the possible wind on the trail. Also, you have to be walking very very slowly today and take multiple breathing breaks while not forgetting to hydrate yourself time and again. All your walks until this day would only be worth it if you could cross this day. Slowly but steadily, you have to “achieve” this day. Albeit harsh walk, you will be blessed with panoramic Himalayan peaks all over and the Annapurna region all the time. You will feel that VICTORY self once you reach the pass, and take enough time to enjoy the moment there. Just be yourself.
After the pass, you will be walking towards a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath temple. You could witness an eternal flame there which has been burning there for more than 2000 years.

However, the ride from Jomsom to Tatopani would be a little bit bumpy and scary at times. But, they have been doing that drive for ages, so, you should be fine. Be ready for adventure though. At Tatopani, you will be exploring local shops and, a natural hot spring which is said to have cured skin diseases.

    15
